  2. This is a topic that is foreign to me. I have always worked with high school or junior high. My supervisor suggested that I need to do some work with the elementary kids to round myself off. I will be following your blog closely.

  4. Lourdes,
I just had pre-k students visit my classroom as part of their tour of the school today. They are so excited to learn, and I love that you are working on an instrument to help assess them. I think the 9 week check point dates will be great for reflecting and adapting your plan if needed. I look forward to the data you collect along the way.

  6. This is a great idea for Pre-K! I did not use the Balanced Literacy model when I was down in Pre-K, but I hope it works for you and your teachers that will be using it! I bet it will turn out great! It is wonderful how you have different times broken up to meet with your principal to determine where to go from there if instruction needs to change or not. Super job! (and I am sorry my first post was so short...I was just trying to post on your blog to see if people could :))
